What is "The Kanye West Foundation S.H.O.W." (a live and up to the minute account)

So you’ve probably be wondering when is the World Famous Tony Williams gonna go to work and give some insight on some real rock star stuff.  Okay, well i’m working today and forgive me for not posting anything in the last few days.  We’re in Chicago today, the Windy City and to tell the truth, I’m over it.  It’s “cold as hell” and wet here and I left 95 degrees in Dallas.  Anyway, today is the benefit concert for the Kanye West Foundation S.H.O.W. (Students Helping Our World).  The event is taking place from the legendary and historical Chicago Theater (remember the movie?).  The show will be taped and aired at a later date on FUSE Network.  The event will be divided into two parts, an afternoon slot where Chicago school kids will be treated to “sound check” and then Q&A with Kanye.  The evening concert benefits the foundation.  Here is an up to the minute account of how we’re flowing this morning…

 

9:00a.m. .... It's a dreary day in "the Chi", its 95 in Dallas.

 

9:00 a.m. ... it's too early for work, not to mention it's cold and wet, but we've got rehearsal and camera blocking about to jump off...

 

9:30 a.m. ... In the bowels of the legendary Chicago Theater working on this post and eating a nasty cheese danish ... they said there'd be breakfast and i'm sarving

 

aahhh.. you wuz peepin' the shirt, huh?

 

... you like? a few extras found their way into my backpack..

10:00 a.m. ... D.J. Active and musical director Adam Blackstone at rehearsal/ camera blocking..

11:05a.m. ... Chicago city school kids are coming in for the morning portion of the event.. I'm gonna go check catering to see if there's food there yet... I'll be back..

 

Joseph Collins, C.E.O. of K.W. Foundation, along David Abrams and Zachary Harris, the two Chicago youth that funded the event, present an award to Kanye..

its been a minute since I was on a schedule..

2:30 p.m. ... they finally got some food in this joint..

3:07 p.m. ... I'm gonna walk back to the hotel .... Chicago has one of the "dopest" downtowns in the world, check out the drawbridge..

 

7:00 P.M. ... GIORDANO'S .....CHICAGO style pizza ... you KNOW!!!!!

 

 

8:15 p.m. marcia (wardrobe) dressing Jessi Bond..

 

 

8:30 p.m. the crew is about ready
